Location scouting in Italy

We can research options remotely, arrange scouts and recces, approach owners or local authorities and flag practical issues before a location is presented as a serious choice. Some productions need one city route; others need several contrasting regions to connect over a few days.

Northern Italy and Milan

Northern Italy includes modern Milan, the lakes, Alpine roads, historic centres, industrial areas and the Adriatic cities. Milan is the strongest base for many commercial and fashion-led briefs, as well as shoots that need local crew and equipment before moving into the wider region. Rome, Tuscany and central Italy

Rome combines monumental architecture, lived-in neighbourhoods, modern districts and major supplier depth. Tuscany offers towns, villas, farmland, coast and rolling countryside, but travel between apparently close locations can still shape the shooting day. Southern Italy and the islands

Naples, Puglia, Calabria, Sicily and Sardinia offer dense city streets, villages, working ports, coastline and rural landscapes. For shoots in southern Italy, early checks on travel, local permissions, vehicle access and regional crew or supplier needs help keep the route workable.

Access, permits and feasibility

Public streets, heritage sites, private properties, beaches and controlled locations follow different approval routes. We identify who controls the location, check likely lead times and explain any limits that affect the schedule or crew footprint.
